Australian Winter School Workshop

This event aims to support health care professionals, including nurses, allied health, GPs, health workers in emergency departments and mental health care to develop the skills and knowledge needed in responding to alcohol and drug related issues.

The workshop series will be on integrating motivational interviewing (MI) and cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT). This will be a one-day intensive workshop focusing on building skills and understanding of MI and CBT.

‘Alcohol Occasional’ Seminar

ISSUP Brazil Conference

ISSUP holds an annual event, bringing together members and non-members from the field of substance use prevention and treatment. The next ISSUP event will take place in Campinas, Brazil from December 7th - 11th, 2016.

ISSUP events allow non-members to engage with and join ISSUP, whilst giving members the opportunity to network and build collaborations. All attendees have the opportunity to learn from presentations, networking or training opportunities to add to their professional development.

2nd ISSUP Workshop, Campinas 2016

Location: Campinas

In December the Second International Workshop on Drug Demand Reduction took place together with the 4th International Congress of Freemind to network with others from the field in South America, and attend a training workshop. 

The event was attended by a range of people from the substance use disorders field from volunteer to policy maker.

Webinar: A Service Pathway for Youth with Mental Health and Addiction Challenges

YouthCan IMPACT is a project started in Toronto to set up Integrated Collaborative Care Teams (ICCTs) that provide youth with rapid access to mental health and addiction services right in their communities. 1st Recovery Conference in Bangladesh

Location: Potuakhali, Bangladesh

The First Recovery Conference was held from 16-18 December 2016 at Parjatan Motel and Youth Inn in Kuakata, Bangladesh. The event was organized by SANJOG ( A Network for Drug Treatment and Rehabilitation Centers in Bangladesh). More than 300 people (recovered people, family members of the recovered, drug treatment and rehabilitation centers authorities and SANJOG Executive Committee Members) participated in the Recovery Conference.
