Since 2000, there has been a 200 percent increase in opioid-related deaths. Federal and state governments have declared “states of emergency” and funds are now being allocated for crisis response such as increased naloxone access points, medication-assisted treatment (MAT) options and legislation and formulary changes to restrict dosing and supply of prescription opioids.
Educational Event: Technology offers one more avenue by which the behavioral health field can provide recovery support services. This training will focus on how recovery support services can be extended through the use of technologies (e.g., the web, smart phone, and cell phone).
