As our hyper-globalized world brings people, substances, ideas, and potential sources of addiction closer together than ever, researchers, care providers, academics and professionals need to look at addiction studies in a new, dynamic light.

This two-week Summer Institute seeks to provide an interdisciplinary approach and lens to the study of addiction.

The programme is built around four themes:

• an overview of policies and the history of the concept of addiction
• contemporary prevention services
• the current state of affairs
• an assessment of treatment innovations

Este Instituto de Verão de duas semanas procura fornecer uma abordagem interdisciplinar e lente para o estudo do vício.

O programa é construído em torno de quatro temas:

• uma visão geral das políticas e da história do conceito de vício
• serviços de prevenção contemporânea
• o atual estado de coisas
• uma avaliação das inovações de tratamento

Este Instituto de verano de dos semanas pretende ofrecer un enfoque interdisciplinario y el objetivo para el estudio de la adicción.

El programa está construido alrededor de cuatro temas:

• un resumen de las políticas y la historia del concepto de adicción
• servicios de prevención contemporánea
• el estado actual de los asuntos
• una evaluación de las innovaciones de tratamiento

The 11th International Conference on Nightlife, Substance Use and Related Health Issues will be held in Amsterdam, 15-17 May 2019.

The conference hopes to bring together experts and stakeholders from a wide range of fields to present, meet and exchange experiences, evidence and views on the latest research, policy and practice relating to protecting and promoting health in urban night-time settings.

 The objectives of Club Health Amsterdam 2019 include:

• To develop understanding of the impacts of nightlife activity and the necessity for creating and maintaining safe and healthy nightlife environments
• To facilitate the implementation of effective, evidence-based policies, interventions and approaches in nightlife environments that can reduce potential harms
• To improve knowledge and expertise about how nightlife environments and settings can be developed, managed and sustained effectively
• To promote multi-agency partnerships and networks at local, national, European and international levels

11ª Conferência Internacional sobre a vida noturna, uso de substâncias e problemas de saúde relacionados será realizada em Amsterdã, 15-17 de maio de 2019.

La 11ª Conferencia Internacional sobre la vida nocturna, uso de sustancias y problemas de salud relacionados se celebrará en Amsterdam, 15-17 mayo de 2019.

The VI International Conference on Novel Psychoactive Substances (NPS) will be held on 8th – 9th April 2019 at the University of Maastricht in the Netherlands.

The conference offers the opportunity to share knowledge and strengthen collaboration on NPS among multidisciplinary professionals at the international level.

The key objectives of the event are:

• Sharing evidence-based information on NPS and latest trends of misuse;
• Improving understanding of clinical treatment and management of NPS use;
• Exploring policy and legislative responses to NPS;
• Developing innovative prevention measures for vulnerable individuals;
• Identifying public health implications of NPS;
• Exploring motivations and socio-cultural factors underlying NPS use;
• Networking and providing the opportunity to meet leading experts in the field.

A VI Conferência de internacional sobre substâncias psicoativas romance (NPS) será realizada em 8-9 de abril de 2019 a Universidade de Maastricht, na Holanda.

A conferência oferece a oportunidade de compartilhar conhecimentos e reforçar a colaboração no NPS entre profissionais multidisciplinares a nível internacional.

Os objetivos principais do evento são:

• Compartilhamento de informações baseadas em evidências no NPS e últimas tendências de utilização indevida;
