The 2020 Gordon Research Conference (GRC) on Alcohol and the Nervous System will provide a unique forum to bring together a diverse range of young and established alcohol researchers and experts in complementary fields. 

The Sixty-third United Nation Commission on Narcotic Drugs session will take place in Vienna, Austria, 2-6 March 2020.

The event involves the policy making body of the United Nations with the prime responsibility in drug related matters.

This session aims to briefly cover the main opioid agonist pharmacotherapies for opioid dependence, and summarise the evidence for the use of these treatments for pharmaceutical opioid dependence.

• What are the current treatments – who is suitable for what – why would clients consider it?

Objectives

Planet Youth's next conference will be held on the 4th to 6th of March 2020.

Qualitative Methods in Addiction Research: A One Day Masterclass by the Society for the Study of Addiction in association with Kings College London.

The aim is to stimulate further interest in, and understanding of, qualitative methods in the addiction field. The day will be structured around lectures by four leading UK-based qualitative researchers, who will each showcase one of their own qualitative projects. There will also be time for discussion and interaction with the audience.

The 6th Global Alcohol Policy Conference 2020 (GAPC 2020) will be held in Dublin, Ireland 9-11 March 2020.

EUROPAD exists to improve the lives of opiate misusers and their families and to reduce the impact of illicit drug use on society as a whole.

The association works to develop opiate addiction treatment in Europe but also aims to make a major contribution to the knowledge of, and attitudes to, addiction treatment worldwide.

Every two years the Association organises a conference in a major European centre. The most recent of these attracted 500 delegates, an impressive collection of international speakers and a wide range of original papers.

Men & Alcohol: what's next? This is the fourth and final event in the 'Men & Alcohol' seminar series co-hosted by SHAAP and the Institute of Alcohol Studies (IAS). An expert panel will discuss the following questions:
