ISSUP Italy event to commemorate World Drug Day on 26 June 2022
With the 42/112 Resolution of 7th December 1987, the General Assembly decided to observe 26th June as the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking (World Drug Day) as an expression of its determination to strengthen action and cooperation to achieve the goal of an international society free of drug abuse.
Supported each year by individuals, communities, and various organizations all over the world, this global observance aims to raise awareness of the major problem that illicit drugs represent to society.
From 21th to 26th June 2022, the Association Casa Rosetta, which has been involved in the prevention of the use of substances in the treatment of people with substance use disorders and in all forms of addiction for 37 years, celebrates the International day against drug abuse and illicit trafficking with the theme "Your Person at the Center" by organizing a series of meetings addressed to young people and the local community for the promotion of a healthy and drug-free life.
The theme "Your Person at the Center" summarizes the commitment of Casa Rosetta: listening to young people and encouraging the process of empowerment so as to overcome frailties, the sense of emptiness and aridity, through the reinforcement of protection factors and life skills, as fundamental ingredients for the growth of the adult of tomorrow.
The Casa Rosetta Association, the host organization of the National Chapter of ISSUP-Italy, invites public and private social entities and organizations to share their initiatives organized on the day for the promotion of health and prevention of substance use.
Each initiative can be shared before and/or after the realization of the event.

Con la Risoluzione 42/112 del 7 dicembre 1987, l’Assemblea Generale delle Nazioni Unite ha indicato il 26 giugno come la Giornata Internazionale della Lotta alla Droga e al Traffico Illecito, quale espressione della propria determinazione ad agire con forza e a cooperare per raggiungere l’obiettivo di una comunità globale libera dalle droghe.
Sostenuta ogni anno da singole persone, comunità e organizzazioni in tutto il mondo, questa giornata ha lo scopo di sensibilizzare l’opinione pubblica sul grande problema che la dipendenza dalle droghe rappresenta per la società.
Dal 21 al 26 Giugno 2022, l’Associazione Casa Rosetta, impegnata da oltre trent’anni anni nella prevenzione e trattamento dei disturbi da uso di sostanze e tutte le forme di dipendenza, celebra la giornata mondiale per la lotta alla droga dal tema “La tua Persona al Centro”, organizzando un ciclo di incontri rivolto ai giovani e alla comunità locale per la promozione di una vita sana e libera dalle droghe.
Il tema riassume l’impegno di Casa Rosetta: stare in ascolto dei giovani e favorire il processo di empowerment per il superamento delle fragilità, del senso di vuoto e di aridità, attraverso il rinforzo dei fattori di protezione, delle competenze e abilità di vita, quali ingredienti fondamentali per la crescita degli adulti di domani.
L’Associazione Casa Rosetta, organizzazione ospite del Capitolo Nazionale di Issup-Italia, invita gli enti e le organizzazioni, del pubblico e del privato sociale, a condividere le proprie iniziative organizzate in occasione della giornata per la promozione della salute e prevenzione all’uso di sostanze.
Le iniziative presentate attraverso un semplice format, corredate di documentazione e supporti visivi (foto, video, report, etc…) saranno pubblicate sul sito web di ISSUP-Italia e condivise sul sito di ISSUP-Global.
Ciascuna iniziativa potrà essere condivisa prima e/o dopo la realizzazione dell’evento.
