Online Learning Module: The Effects of Cannabis Use during Adolescence

The effects of cannabis use during adolescence

The Canadian Centre on Substance Abuse (CCSA) has released an engaging learning module that provides evidence-based information on the effects of cannabis use during adolescence. The module is based on CCSA's report on the psychological, social and health-related effects of marijuana use among young people. It's a great resource for parents, teachers, health care providers, social workers and anyone else concerned about the well-being of young people. The module covers four far-reaching questions:

  • How does cannabis use affect the brain and behaviour of young people?
  • Is there a link between cannabis use and mental health?
  • Is cannabis addictive?
  • What interventions are available for cannabis use disorders?
