Free Harvard Medical School E-Courses on Opioid Addiction for Beginners to Healthcare Professionals

Opioid addiction is a major problem in the US.

In this way, Harvard Medical School (HMS) has introduced a new online course entitled OpioidX: The Opioid Crisis in America.

OpioidX is the first free, comprehensive educational programme on the opioid epidemic.

More specifically, it is designed to offer an evidence-based view of the opioid crisis and challenge preconceptions with the goal of reducing the stigma attached to opioid addiction, treatment and recovery. The emphasis is on ‘actionable knowledge’, such as how to prevent an opioid overdose death.

It is designed for all audiences as part of a broad commitment to providing accessible, e-based learning for everyone – from beginners to professionals. Upon completion, you will receive a verified certificate.

Other courses include HMX. This aims to communicate basic scientific knowledge to those interested in a career in healthcare. The HMS Global Academy, on the other hand, provides medical professionals with courses that vary widely by topic.
