Alcohol Sales Banned in Greenland

For many young people, home is not a place of safety.

As countries introduce lockdown measures, it is important that the wellbeing of young people is protected.

In a move to reduce potential violence against children during coronavirus confinement, the sale of alcohol has been banned in the capital of Greenland, Nuuk.

The alcohol ban came into force on Saturday and is scheduled to last until 15 April.
