COVID-19 and Drinking Behaviour

With most countries adopting measures to encourage social distancing during the COVID-19 pandemic, there are notable changes to drinking behaviours.

Health professionals are calling on people to avoid using alcohol as a coping strategy in these stressful times. However, empty shelves in supermarkets indicate people may not be following advice. 

In a recent article published by Society for the Study of Addiction, James Morris explores the changes in drinking behaviour in the UK, and the negative impact this may have for social care and vulnerable groups.
