On March 20, 2019, at 11 am ET (Washington, DC time), the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine will release a new report by the Committee on Medication-Assisted Treatment for Opioid Use Disorder. 

What does the science say about medications used to treat opioid use disorder and the role they may play in stemming the opioid crisis? In what populations and settings can they be effectively delivered, and what barriers prevent their use?
