NIGHTS 2018 conference will take place from the 15th to the 17th of November in Brussels. The event will address issues concerning night-time economy, nightlife culture, urban development and related public health concerns.
A special focus will be dedicated to urban-coexistence, nightlife-master plans, night councils and ambassadors, drug policy, festival-safety, leisure tourism and nightlife-bars.
The event is designed for individuals, such as activists, policy makers, health professionals and academics, who are involved in creating a safe nightlife culture.
SHAAP (Scottish Health Action on Alcohol Problems) and Eurocare (The European Alcohol Policy Alliance) are the organisers of the 8th European Alcohol Policy Conference (8EAPC), which will be hosted at the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, Scotland, on 20th and 21st November 2018.
We are expecting around 300 delegates, and presentations will be made by Government ministers and officials, representatives from the World Health Organization, the European Commission and leading NGOs, as well as top academics and authors.

The 2nd International Symposium on Drug Policy and Public Health is organized by the Turkish Green Crescent Society and will be held in Istanbul in 26-27 November 2018.
The event aims to provide a forum for the exchange of policy and practice ideas and experiences, and for the establishment of local, regional and global collaborations in the area of substance use. The local, regional and global academicians, NGO representatives, decision makers and practitioners, who work for the prevention and control of substance use are invited.
Co-conveners will be the Charles University in Prague (CUNI) and the EMCDDA (REITOX Academy), and the main conference venue will be the Lichtenstein Palace on Malostranské náměstí.
