De 13 a 17 de maio de 2024, a Comissão Interamericana para o Controle do Abuso de Drogas (CICAD) da Organização dos Estados Americanos (OEA), em colaboração com o Capítulo Nacional Bahamas da Sociedade Internacional de Profissionais de Uso de Substâncias (ISSUP), realizou um Treinamento de Prevenção de Drogas Baseado na Mídia na Autoridade Hospitalar Pública em Nassau, Bahamas. O programa culminou em uma cerimônia de formatura na sexta-feira, 17 de maio de 2024.

O ISSUP Bahamas Chapter alcançou um marco significativo com a inauguração de seu inovador treinamento presencial de 12 sessões para Introdução à Prevenção Baseada em Evidências – INEP Plus. O evento histórico aconteceu no estimado quartel-general da Força Policial Real das Bahamas em Freeport, Grand Bahama.

ISSUP Bahamas are thrilled to announce their first in-country INEP (Introduction to Evidence-Based Prevention) training, which will take place between 24 April and 31 July 2024.

The training will be delivered by Troy E Clarke I, ICAP Tx I and Lowena West in Freeport, Grand Bahama.  Those participating will include personnel from the Royal Bahamas Police Force (Northern Division), the Grand Bahama Health Service and The National LEAD Institute.
