This retrospective cohort study asks people who are in recovery or have not used alcohol or drugs for at least two years following meeting diagnostic criteria for having a SUD how many quit attempts they had made prior to success. The range was 0-100 previous attempts.

The UNODC’s Regional Office for West and Central Africa (ROSEN), the Prevention Treatment and Rehabilitation Section (PTRS) and UNAIDS jointly organized a TREATNET training on drug use disorder treatment and care from July 30th to August 2nd 2019 in Saly-Mbour, Senegal.

Opioid-related morbidity and mortality in the U.S. has been steadily increasing over the last two decades. In 2017 alone, 2.1 million Americans suffered from opioid use disorder (OUD), and 47,600 died from opioid overdose.
