The 2024 Global Event will be held in Thessaloniki, Greece between 24th & 28th June, 2024. The event is organised by ISSUP and ISSUP Greece, INL, the Centers for the Prevention of Addictions, the Promotion of Psychosocial Health SEIRIOS and ICUDDR. The event will take place in the historic center of Thessaloniki, on the premises of the ‘International Exhibition & Congress Centre of TIF-HELEXPO’ and surrounding conference rooms in museums and social institutions.
We are excited to announce that registration for the in-person training sessions at the Thessaloniki 2024 Global Event is now live!

Around the world, using drugs is connected to both the legal system and the health system. Studies suggest a link between drug use and crime, but they say it's not a direct cause. In many countries, the legal system is overwhelmed, and the responses to drug-related crimes might not be right for the people involved. While some experts focus on how drug abuse affects a person's choices, they often overlook the social and environmental factors. The global survey is part of a broader consultation process in preparation for the 2024 Mid-term review of the Commission on Narcotic Drugs. It aims to gather inputs from NGOs working on drug policy issues around the world.
