About ISSUP Korea
ISSUP Korea is the officially recognized National Chapter of the International Society of Substance Use Professionals (ISSUP).
ISSUP Korea operates as a consortium formed by Sahmyook University’s SW Addiction Prevention & Rehabilitation Center, ITTC KOREA, and the ICAN Headquarters.
Through this collaborative structure, ISSUP Korea brings together academic expertise, international training capacity, and global professional networks to strengthen prevention, treatment , and recovery systems across the nation.
Our Key Activities
- Professional Development & Training
– Delivering internationally recognized curricula (UPC/UTC/URC) and enhancing the competencies of professionals across prevention, treatment, and recovery fields. - Networking & Collaboration
– Connecting experts, institutions, government agencies, and international partners to promote shared knowledge and joint initiatives. - Research & Policy Support
– Encouraging evidence-based strategies and supporting the development of national policies grounded in scientific research. - Community Engagement & Recovery Support
– Working with communities, youth, and peer networks to strengthen supportive environments and long-term recovery pathways.
