Stimulants are a class of drugs that act on the central nervous system, increasing alertness, energy, and attention while elevating mood. They achieve these effects by enhancing the activity of neurotransmitters such as dopamine and norepinephrine in the brain.

Many stimulant-related hazards are linked to intensive, high-dose, or long-term usage. ISSUP KENYA interacted with more than 50 officers representing ministries, counties, departments, and agencies (MCDAs) at the Kenya School of Government in Embu. The Essential Counselling Skills Training, led by the Counselling Department within the Ministry of Public Service, Performance, and Delivery Management, focuses on developing Workplace Mental Health Champions for the public sector.

Apply for In-Person Training at the Thessaloniki 2024 Global Event

The 2024 Global Event will be held in Thessaloniki, Greece between 24th & 28th June, 2024. The event is organised by ISSUP and ISSUP Greece, INL, the Centers for the Prevention of Addictions, the Promotion of Psychosocial Health SEIRIOS and ICUDDR.  The event will take place in the historic center of Thessaloniki, on the premises of the ‘International Exhibition & Congress Centre of TIF-HELEXPO’ and surrounding conference rooms in museums and social institutions.
We are excited to announce that registration for the in-person training sessions at the Thessaloniki 2024 Global Event is now live!
