Singapore amplia il divieto di fumo

Il Ministero della Sostenibilità e dell'Ambiente (MSE) di Singapore, la Sentosa Development Corp. (SDC) e diversi organi statutari hanno annunciato che il divieto di fumo del paese sarà esteso.

In base alla nuova legislazione, sarà vietato fumare nei parchi e giardini pubblici e sulle spiagge ricreative.

Il divieto entrerà in vigore il 1° luglio 2022.

The global data indicates that the age of starting tobacco usage is decreasing rapidly. This not only has been causing many serious health consequences but is also increasing a lot of social issues. On the other hand, early use shows a high risk of leading to the use of other substances such as heroin in adulthood. Therefore, prevention and early intervention in this population are very crucial. In order to contribute to promoting the youth tobacco use prevention program in the near future in Vietnam, VHATTC organizes an online session on "Preventing Tobacco Use Among Youth: Evidence-Based Interventions".

VNGOC are looking for civil society speakers wishing to present at these webinars, on how they use the data compiled in the World Drug Report each year and how these data impact their work. 

  • The first webinar will be held on 13th July 2021 and will focus on Asia, Oceania and Europe.
  • The second webinar will be held on 15th July 2021 and will focus on Africa and the Americas.
