INCONTRO DIGITALE DEI CAPITOLI NAZIONALI AFRICANI

L'incontro su Zoom è stato ospitato da Jeff Lee che ha invitato i capitoli nazionali africani a far parte dell'incontro. L'incontro si è tenuto martedì 14 gennaio 2020 dalle 14:00 alle 15:00 (EAT). Il Capitolo Nazionale dell'Uganda era rappresentato dall'Uganda Youth Development Link (UYDEL), ovvero Rogers Mutaawe, Andrew Lubega e Barbara Nakijoba.

Riunione preparatoria del Comitato Interinale del Capitolo ISSUP Uganda

Il 29 novembre 2019 si è tenuta una riunione preparatoria presso l'ufficio UYDEL e hanno discusso del reclutamento dei membri, dell'aggiornamento del sito web ISSUP dell'Uganda, del piano di lavoro per il 2020, del lancio del capitolo ISSUP nell'aprile 2020 e dei piani futuri. L'incontro ha anche concordato di tenere un incontro iniziale con i membri identificati il 12 dicembre 2019 per ottenere maggiori input dai membri sul modo migliore per gestire il capitolo ISSUP.

Psychoactive substance use and substance use disorders (SUDs) continue to be major problems around the world, taking a toll on global health and on social and economic functioning. The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) reports that, in 2015, about 250 million people between ages 15 and 64 used illicit substances at least once. Of those who use psychoactive substances, a significant number will develop substance use problems or SUDs.
