ISSUP Brazil National Chapter
ISSUP Brazil - the International Society of Substance Use Professionals - for the period 2025-2028, is constituted, in an equitable manner, by 4 organizations: Associação Alcoolismo Feminino - AF, Associação Brasileira de Estudos do Álcool e outras Drogas (ABEAD), Federação Brasileira de Comunidades Terapêuticas - FEBRACT and FREEMIND, with the objective of expanding its National Chapter to build and strengthen the network of substance use workforce in the country, as follows:
● Strengthening and positioning the institutional brand of ISSUP Brazil as an integral part of ISSUP Global, an organization supported by the main global institutions in this segment.
● Seeking to make scientific knowledge more accessible and understandable to professionals who work daily with people with Alcohol and Substance Use Disorders, and their families, through webinars, manuals, and educational materials.
● Supporting other organizations operating at the national level to also promote evidence-based prevention, education, and health actions with quality standards and best ethical practices.
● Keeping the media in general updated regarding global data related to research and scientific evidence for Substance Use Disorders, including the social determinants.
● Using its networks and associates to mobilize technical and scientific activities and collaborations that can reach health professionals, parents, educators, managers, public policy makers, and advocacy.
We invite all professionals who work in the substance use filed to share knowledge and join this networkf of professionals from different parts of the world and contributing to the improvement of global public health.
