Senapred

The National Secretariat for Drug Care and Prevention (Senapred) is responsible for actions to prevent drug use and care and social reintegration of users. Its main functions are to promote education and training to effectively reduce the misuse of licit and illicit drugs; carry out campaigns to prevent the misuse of licit and illicit drugs; implement the integrated network for people with disorders resulting from the consumption of psychoactive substances; evaluate and monitor treatments and therapeutic initiatives; reduce the social and health consequences resulting from the misuse of licit and illicit drugs; and maintain and update the Brazilian Drug Information Observatory.
