Save the Children International in Bangladesh, in collaboration with the International Society of Substance Use Professionals (ISSUP) Bangladesh Chapter, successfully conducted the third batch of the five-batch training program titled “Human Rights Orientation for Law Enforcement Agencies to Strengthen HIV Prevention Programs in Bangladesh” on 20–21 September 2026.
A two-day human rights-based training for members of law enforcement agencies was held to strengthen HIV prevention programmes in Bangladesh. The training was organized by Save the Children International in Bangladesh in collaboration with the International Society of Substance Use Professionals (ISSUP) Bangladesh Chapter.
On the occasion of World Suicide Prevention Day, speakers emphasized the urgent need to strengthen public awareness on suicide prevention, ensure accessible and timely mental health services, and foster a compassionate and supportive environment for individuals experiencing emotional distress and psychological crisis.
A three-day clinical training programme aimed at strengthening gender-responsive and evidence-based treatment services for women with substance use disorders began in Dhaka on Monday.
The training is being jointly organised by Dhaka Ahsania Mission and the ISSUP Bangladesh Chapter under the Women’s Intervention of Substance Exposure (WISE) programme.
