چند سال گذشته شاهد ظهور مواد روانگردان جدید در میان جمعیت بی خانمان ها، به طور خاص عذاب دهنده های مصنوعی دریافت کننده کانبینوید بوده اند. هدف از این مطالعه بررسی آگاهی و تجارب مواد روانگردان جدید در میان کاربران از جمعیت بی خانمان است.

طرح پژوهش توضیحی با استفاده از پرسشنامه نیمه ساختار یافته با تمرکز بر به دست آوردن بینش در مورد گسترش، انگیزه ها و اثرات به کار گرفته شد.
