Tanzania Held The First Universal Recovery Curriculum Training in Tanzania
The first-ever Universal Recovery Curriculum (URC) training for Peer Recovery Support Professionals was held in Tanga City from 11–16 December 2025, marking a major milestone in advancing recovery-oriented care in Tanzania. The event was opened by Dr. Peter Mfisi from the Drug Control and Enforcement Authority (DCEA) and closed by Tanga’s Deputy Mayor, Mr. Khalidi Rashid, highlighting strong national and local government backing.

STRENGTHENING YOUTH ENGAGEMENT IN DRUG PREVENTION
As part of the ongoing ISSUP Tanzania movement to promote evidence-based prevention and build national capacity, the Drug Control and Enforcement Authority conducted a specialized training on the Universal Prevention Curriculum (UPC): Youth Engagement in Drug Prevention from 20th to 24th October 2025 at the Amani Center, Kaloleni – Arusha.

ISSUP یک نشست منطقه ای برای فصل های ملی خود در افریقا از 21 تا 22 آگست در هوتل گران ملیا در آروشه تانزانیا برگزار کرد. ISSUP تانزانیا امتیاز میزبانی این نشست مهم را داشت.
هدف اصلی این نشست تقویت شبکه فصل های ملی ISSUP در آفریقا و فراهم کردن یک بستر کاربردی برای بحث های خاص منطقه در مورد پیشگیری، درمان، پشتیبانی بازیابی، و کاهش آسیب بود.

Health workers in MAT Clinic at Kihonda Prison in Morogoro received a MAT training package to enhance their skills to improve service delivery to people with opioid addiction. Much of the contents were derived from Universal Treatment Curriculum and presented by UTC Certified Trainers.
