The UPC CORE Training of Trainers held from 3–8 December 2025 in Tanga City brought together practitioners for an intensive capacity-building program facilitated by trainers from DCEA and ISSUP Tanzania. Officially opened by the District Commissioner and closed by the Tanga City Mayor, the training—organized by Gift of Hope Foundation and funded by Foundation Botnar under the Tanga Yetu program—equipped participants with evidence-based prevention skills, ethical principles, and practical competencies for implementing effective substance use prevention interventions. The event also served as a platform for registering new ISSUP members and guiding them on how to utilize ISSUP resources for ongoing professional development and collaboration.
