ISSUP -KENYA was honoured to participate in the Validation Workshop for the National Strategy for Prevention and Management of the Health Impacts of Alcohol Use (2026–2030), convened by the The Ministry of Health – Division of Mental Health on 30th and 31st July 2026 in Nairobi.

As a member of the Technical Working Group on Alcohol Prevention, ISSUP Kenya Executive Committee led by President Dr. Pamela Kaithuru, Deputy President Catherine Muthiani,  PR and Media Lead Ms.

The Youth Initiative Development Programme (YIDP), Triple I Foundation and ISSUP Kenya Chapter will convene the second edition of the Sports Wellness Summit at Cloud Hotel & Suites in Nairobi, Kenya.

ISSUP Kenya, as part of the Mental Health Consortium, participated in the Validation Meeting for Technical Recommendations, organized by the Kenya Psychiatric Association (KPA) on 27th March 2026, in Nairobi, Kenya. This follows ISSUP Kenya's involvement two weeks ago in the Mental Health Stakeholders’ Proposal Development and Writing Process.

ISSUP Kenya members actively participated in the National Substance Use Prevention Week Summit held on 12–13 February 2026 at the Kenya School of Government, Lower Kabete. The Summit was convened by the National Authority for the Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (NACADA) and brought together policymakers, practitioners, civil society leaders, and community stakeholders.

ISSUP Kenya members actively participated in the National Substance Use Prevention Week Summit, held on 12th–13th February 2026 at the Kenya School of Government, Lower Kabete.

ISSUP KENYA was honoured to participate in the Pathways to Progress Summit, held on 29th January 2026 at Parklands Baptist Church, bringing together practitioners, civil society, faith leaders, and community stakeholders in substance use prevention, treatment, and recovery.

On June 26th, ISSUP Kenya joined the global community in marking the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking (IDADA) with a powerful series of community-based activities across the country. This year’s celebrations highlighted the organization’s commitment to prevention through action, creativity, and local engagement.
