This event aims to support health care professionals, including nurses, allied health, GPs, health workers in emergency departments and mental health care to develop the skills and knowledge needed in responding to alcohol and drug related issues.
The workshop series will be on integrating motivational interviewing (MI) and cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT). This will be a one-day intensive workshop focusing on building skills and understanding of MI and CBT.

In December the Second International Workshop on Drug Demand Reduction took place together with the 4th International Congress of Freemind to network with others from the field in South America, and attend a training workshop.
The event was attended by a range of people from the substance use disorders field from volunteer to policy maker.
