Joint Statement: Event Cancellation
It is with great regret that International Society of Substance Use Professionals (ISSUP) and the Narcotics Control Commission of Ghana (NACOC) announce the cancellation of ‘Connecting Sectors, Creating Impact: A United Response on Drugs’, that was planned 22nd June - 26th June 2026, Accra, Ghana.
Due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, we are no longer able to proceed with the event as planned. This decision has not been taken lightly. We understand the time, commitment, and anticipation that participants, partners, and attendees have invested, and we sincerely apologise for any inconvenience or disappointment this may cause.
We are deeply grateful for the support, enthusiasm, and collaboration shown by all those involved. Both parties share in the disappointment that it will not be going ahead at this time.
ISSUP is currently exploring options for rescheduling the annual event for 2026 and will provide further updates as soon as possible.
For those who have already submitted an abstract, further information will be communicated directly. We are grateful to all who were collaborating, had engaged with the plans, submitted an abstract or were planning to attend.
