Mental Health Conference & Excursion – Kigali, Rwanda
ISSUP Kenya participates in a Mental Health Conference & Excursion in Rwanda. The event was co-organised by ISSUP-KENYA and Mshauri Therapy Hub and Pro Care.
The conference officially started in Kigali on 6th May 2025, under the theme “Trauma Healing.”

ISSUP Kenya recently ran the INEP Plus course in Kenya with a cohort of five (5) participants successfully completing the course and earning recognition for their efforts. These participants are addiction counselors with diverse specializations within the field of drug demand reduction.

Dr Jackie Anundo ISSUP -KENYA Secretary, attended a 2-day summit hosted by the Police, Treatment and Community Collaborative (PTACC). PTACC is an organisation that seeks to strategically enhance the quantity and quality of community behavioural health and social service options through engagement in deflection and pre-arrest diversion
ISSUP Kenya at National Recovery Month
National Recovery Month was celebrated in Kenya on Friday 27th September with an event at the Empower Her Recovery Centre - Nueva Annex (Ngewa House) with the theme Empowering Women in Recovery. The event was graced by ISSUP Kenya members Dr Pamela Kaithuru (chapter President), Catherine Mwati, Jane Wambui (executive committee members), Fatma Musau (former executive committee member), and Kui Mucara (founder Nueva Annex) and Nkatha Mwenda. ISSUP Kenya Director, Dr Pamela Kaithuru meets with Kenyan Parliamentary Representative, Hon. Antoney Kibagendi to explore collaboration between the civil society organisation and the Government.
Honorable Kibagendi is the Member of Parliament for the Kitutu Chache constituency and the Chairperson of the Parliamentarians Against Drugs and Substance Abuse Caucus.
The meeting was held on Monday 19th August 2024.

L’ISSUP Kenya organise une formation UTC 1 pour Congo Nation Sans Drogues
L’ISSUP Kenya a organisé une formation gratuite de 5 jours pour le groupe de défense Congo Nation Sans Drogues. La formation était basée sur le programme de traitement universel (UTC 1).
Congo Nation Sans Drogues est une organisation à but non lucratif qui se concentre sur les programmes de prévention et de soins pour les personnes affectées par la drogue en République démocratique du Congo.
Développer des initiatives d’accès à l’information au Kenya
Le Dr Jacqueline Anundo et Jane Ndungu de l’ISSUP Kenya ont participé à une réunion conjointe sur les alternatives à l’incarcération (ATI) au Kenya. La réunion s’est tenue à l’hôtel EKA de Nairobi, au Kenya, dans le but de développer des initiatives d’accès à l’information dans le pays.
