The Directory of drug prevention, treatment, rehabilitation, and gang and youth violence focused institutions in the English-Speaking Caribbean was compiled from the results of an agency mapping exercise conducted for the CICAD/OAS Training and Certification Program (PROCCER).
The directory involved the data gathering from PROCCER Point Persons of thirteen OAS member states, through a Diagnostic Regional Coordinator. The coordinator was also responsible for ensuring that the various datasets were cleaned, performed any necessary data analysis, and drafted the initial report.
This guide, developed by and for persons working in member states of the Caribbean, presents a model set of indicators to countries desiring to standardize the way that they organize, collect, and report drug-related information for their DINs. The guide has a systematic layout and begins with an explanation of what a DIN is and provides some examples of DINs from various parts of the world.
