Stop Drug Abuse - Vice President Tsogwane

Vice President Slumber Tsogwane has commended First Lady Neo Masisi for her strong advocacy in the fight against drug abuse.

Speaking at a youth dialogue on drug use in Rakops on Wednesday 19th April, the Vice President said the journey embarked on by the First Lady meant that the war had been declared, therefore the onus was upon Batswana to play their part in the mission.


Parents Dialogue on Rising Drug Tide in Botswana

Parents and all stakeholders have been urged to come up with possible solutions and ways of stemming the rising tide of substance abuse in Botswana.


Youth Dialogue on Psychoactive Drugs in Botswana

Mrs Neo Masisi, the First Lady of the Republic of Botswana, hosted Mrs Muriel Zeender Berset, the spouse of the President of the Swiss Confederation, on the 7th February, 2023. As a result, the First Lady of Botswana organized a youth dialogue on the use of psychoactive drugs as part of one of her initiatives aimed at children, adolescents, and youth.

Recovery is Possible: ISSUP Botswana celebrates people and families in Recovery

As an effort to recognise Recovery Month this year ISSUP Botswana hosted a Panel Discussion on the 27th of September 2022. The panellists were a person in recovery, a family in recovery and an Addiction Professional working in recovery. The audience members included both people in recovery, addiction professionals and over 400 viewers on Facebook.


ISSUP Botswana officially launched!

The official launch of ISSUP Botswana was held on Friday, 29th April 2022. The launch which was a seamlessly executed in-person event, saw participation from various ministerial and international dignitaries.

The first cohort of Botswana trained Addiction Professionals

On the 15th February 2018 Botswana held a graduation ceremony for the first cohort of locally trained Internationally Certified Addiction Professionals (ICAP) in the Universal Treatment Curriculum (UTC).
