The National Drug Authority (NDA) organised and sponsored a five-day Universal Prevention Curriculum (UPC) Core Course for 22 pharmacists, mainly from the Pharmaceutical Society of Uganda. Delivered by Uganda Youth Development Link (UYDEL), with support from the Colombo Plan Drug Advisory Programme, the course promoted evidence-based prevention and connected participants with ISSUP Uganda for continued professional learning.

 

The 5th Uganda Alcohol Policy Conference(UAPC) is the largest gathering of researchers, practitioners, advocates and policymakers working on alcohol policy in Uganda. The conference is sponsored by IOGT-NTO movement and organized by UAPA in partnership with World Health organisation (SAFER Innitiative in Uganda), Ministry of Health and Makerere University School of Public Health.

The Uganda National Drug Authority (NDA) launched a five-day Universal Prevention Curriculum (UPC) Core Training on 19 October 2026 at its headquarters in Kampala. The training brings together 22 pharmacists, primarily from the Pharmaceutical Society of Uganda, to strengthen their knowledge and skills in evidence-based substance use prevention.

Uganda Youth Development Link (UYDEL), the host organisation of ISSUP Uganda, participated in the Cross-Regional Conference on “Strengthening Youth Resilience to Violence and Crime through Innovation, including through Sport” held on 26–27 August 2026 in Nairobi, Kenya.

ISSUP Uganda, Uganda Youth Development Link (UYDEL), and the World Federation Against Drugs (WFAD) invite you to a webinar on practical approaches to preventing and addressing addiction among children living in slums and on the streets.

The webinar will explore approaches to prevention, support, recovery, and reintegration.

The UYDEL team, host organisation for ISSUP Uganda, partnered with the Church of Uganda, with support from UNODC and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, to conduct awareness sessions for young people at Kaliro High School in Iganga, St. Stephen’s Secondary School, and Nabukalu Secondary School in Bugiri.

ISSUP Uganda, hosted by the Uganda Youth Development Link (UYDEL), in partnership with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), organised a Sports for Health Gala in the Kirombe slum area of Makindye Division, reaching more than 300 young people with important messages on drug use prevention, crime prevention, mental health, and healthy living.
