Life Skills

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), life skills are “abilities for adaptive and positive behavior that enable individuals to deal effectively with the demands and challenges of everyday life.” These include skills such as decision-making, communication, self-awareness, empathy, and coping with stress. Life skills can be learned through experience, modeled by family or educators, and taught explicitly to help individuals lead independent, productive, and socially responsible lives.
