El jueves 16 de febrero, la Presidenta del ISSUP (K), Dra. Pamela Kaithuru, y la Vicepresidenta, Catherine Muthiani, hicieron una visita de cortesía al Director Kanini, Jefe de Servicios Médicos, Servicios de Policía Administrativa. Presentaron ISSUP al Servicio de Policía Administrativa y discutieron posibles áreas de colaboración. Al director se unió el Dr. Muthondeki, Jefe de Bienestar Mental, APS.

ISSUP-KENYA se reunió con empresarios locales interesados en DDR bajo los auspicios de Country Music Cafe a través de la Asociación de Prevención y Rehabilitación de Adicciones de Kenia (APRAK). Se discutió la capacitación en prevención, consultoría y promoción. 

Fuimos dirigidos por nuestra Presidenta, la Dra. Pamela Nkirote Kaithuru, la Secretaria Dra. Jackie Anundo, acompañada por mí mismo Albert Muraya como líder de relaciones públicas / medios. 

Pamela Kaithuru nos representó en una reunión exitosa con Women In Mental Health Interventions and Treatment (WIMIT). WIMIT está formado por mujeres que dirigen instalaciones que se ocupan de la prevención y el tratamiento de SUD, la mayoría de ellas destinadas a apoyar a las mujeres. Las deliberaciones incluyeron el fortalecimiento del profesionalismo mediante la capacitación, el aumento de la capacidad y el establecimiento de redes.

ISSUP (K) will be hosting a roundtable discussion on ending the triple threat: HIV infections; Sexual and Gender-based Violence; and Adolescent Pregnancies to commemorate World Aids Day on 1st December 2022, from 6-8pm led by our chapter President Dr. 

Following our successful elections on 27th August 2022, we have witnessed the inauguration of the incoming Executive Committee for ISSUP Kenya. They were led by the incoming President ISSUP Kenya Dr.

The Addiction Professionals of Kenya had the opportunity and privilege of having a tete-a- tete meeting with the President-Elect of the Republic of Kenya, His Excellency Dr. William Samoei Ruto, before his inauguration on the 13th September 2022 as the new President of the Republic and Commander in Chief of the Defence Forces.
