The Center for Forensic Science Research & Education is hosting an international 2-day symposium on the status of the Novel Psychoactive Substances (NPS) crisis in the United States. The event will take place in Philadelphia on the 13th and 14th of November.

The focus of the event will be in on synthetic cannabinoids, opioids, benzodiazepines, stimulants and hallucinogens.

The symposium will cover the following topics:

NIGHTS 2018 conference will take place from the 15th to the 17th of November in Brussels. The event will address issues concerning night-time economy, nightlife culture, urban development and related public health concerns.

A special focus will be dedicated to urban-coexistence, nightlife-master plans, night councils and ambassadors, drug policy, festival-safety, leisure tourism and nightlife-bars.

The event is designed for individuals, such as activists, policy makers, health professionals and academics, who are involved in creating a safe nightlife culture.

Drugs Research Network Scotland's first conference, supported by the Society for the Study of Addiction, will be held in Glasgow. The conference is designed to support drug researchers in Scotland.

The theme for the 11th EPH Conference is 'Winds of change: Towards new ways of improving public health in Europe'. Public health is faced with new challenges to improve population health in Europe. Health care alone cannot accomplish this immense task. At the Ljubljana conference, we will explore the significance of creating partnerships across all levels and sectors. Partnerships are especially relevant in the local community, where people live and work.

Konferensi Diseminasi UPC-Adapt terakhir (30 November) bersamaan dengan Akademi EMCDDA / REITOX (28-29 November) tentang pencegahan akan diadakan di Praha, Republik Ceko.

All actors in society—residents and community-based organizations, in partnership with businesses, state and local government, anchor and faith-based institutions—have the power to change the narrative and help promote health equity. But where and how can communities begin to unpack the social determinants of health in order to achieve health equity?

The Royal College of General Practitioners and Substance Misuse Management Good Practice are jointly hosting their 23rd Managing Drug and Alcohol Problems in Primary Care Conference.  

The event will take place on Thursday 29 - Friday 30 November 2018 and is designed for GPs, shared care workers, nurses and other primary care staff, specialists, commissioners and researchers interested in, and involved with the management of drug and alcohol users in primary care.

The conference includes plenaries, workshops and networking opportunities.
