We introduce to you the National Portal of Addictology Screening (NPAS).

The Czech national IPREV (Interactive Platform for Mental Health Support and Risk Behaviour Prevention) platform, which supports mental health and the prevention of risky behaviour, is becoming an important tool used by more and more schools and providers of prevention programmes. However, there has long been a strong need for better evaluation and research in this area.

We are delighted to bring you this compelling conversation on mental health and addiction, featuring Prof. PhDr. Michal Miovský, Ph.D., Head of the Department of Addictology in Prague.

The podcast discusses addiction and emerging addictions, the effects of digital technology, what we are likely to be addicted to in the future and an in-depth discussion on the treatment of alcohol addiction.

IPREV is a modern tool designed to assist prevention practitioners, particularly those in schools and educational institutions implementing comprehensive prevention programs, as well as external providers offering such programs in the Czech Republic. IPREV effectively supports the building, management, monitoring, and improvement of these programs.

On September 14, the Department of Addictology of First Faculty of Medicine of Charles University and General University Hospital in Prague hosted a study visit of experts (doctors, psychologists, addictionologists) on addiction issues from Egypt, who focus on interventions in the field of tobacco, alcohol, and digital addictions in children and adolescents.
