ISSUP Czech Republic announces appointment of Youth Representative

The ISSUP Czech Republic National Chapter are delighted to announce the appointment of Terezie Babilonova as their Youth Representative.

Terezie is currently a PhD student in addictology at the First Faculty of Medicine, Charles University (Czech Republic). She holds a Master’s degree in psychology from Palacký University in Olomouc. Her doctoral research focuses on problematic pornography use, particularly its potentially addictive patterns, with a current emphasis on the OnlyFans platform and its psychological impact on consumers. Alongside her doctoral research, she supervises undergraduate students exploring topics related to problematic pornography use, digital sexual environments, and their links to other addictive behaviors, including substance use. She is also involved in research projects examining online risk behaviors among children and adolescents in the Czech Republic. Terezie looks forward to contributing to youth-led research initiatives, collaborating with young researchers from diverse backgrounds, and promoting evidence-based approaches to understanding behavioral and substance-related addictions.

Charles University, as host organisation for the Chapter, are well placed to engage youth and support ISSUP’s overall aim to cultivate a stronger youth-focused approach to developing the substance use workforce.  ISSUP Czech Republic will be working with other European National Chapters to create a vibrant Europe Youth Network in the months ahead.

We would like to congratulate to Terezie on her appointment and wish her every success in this new role!
