It has been announced that local authorities across England will benefit from an extra £421 million government funding through to 2025 to improve drug and alcohol addiction treatment and recovery.

The extra funding will enable the creation of over 50,000 high-quality places for drug and alcohol treatment.

Novas intervenções de saúde pública são necessárias para lidar com o fornecimento de drogas tóxicas e atender às necessidades das pessoas que usam drogas em meio à crise de overdose. Mid-America Addiction Technology Transfer Center (MATTC) partnered with the Ethnic Communities Opioid Response Network in Missouri, the Addiction Policy Forum, and the Opioid Response Network (ORN in IA, KS, MO, and NE) to translate 5 different evidence-based prevention products "Prevention of Opioid Use Education Materials"  into 12 different languages, and ensure they are culturally appropriate, including Arabic, Bosnian, Burmese, Dari, French, Mandarin Chinese, Pashto, Somali, Spanish, Swahili, Tagalog (Filipino) and Ukrainian.
