Mental Health Conference & Excursion – Kigali, Rwanda
ISSUP Kenya participates in a Mental Health Conference & Excursion in Rwanda. The event was co-organised by ISSUP-KENYA and Mshauri Therapy Hub and Pro Care.
The conference officially started in Kigali on 6th May 2025, under the theme “Trauma Healing.”

ISSUP Kenya recently ran the INEP Plus course in Kenya with a cohort of five (5) participants successfully completing the course and earning recognition for their efforts. These participants are addiction counselors with diverse specializations within the field of drug demand reduction.

ISSUP Kenya at National Recovery Month
National Recovery Month was celebrated in Kenya on Friday 27th September with an event at the Empower Her Recovery Centre - Nueva Annex (Ngewa House) with the theme Empowering Women in Recovery. ISSUP Kenya Director, Dr Pamela Kaithuru meets with Kenyan Parliamentary Representative, Hon. Antoney Kibagendi to explore collaboration between the civil society organisation and the Government.
Honorable Kibagendi is the Member of Parliament for the Kitutu Chache constituency and the Chairperson of the Parliamentarians Against Drugs and Substance Abuse Caucus.
The meeting was held on Monday 19th August 2024.

ISSUP Quênia realiza treinamento UTC 1 para Congo Nation Sans Drogues
A ISSUP Quênia organizou um treinamento gratuito de 5 dias para o grupo de defesa Congo Nation Sans Drogues. O treinamento foi baseado no Currículo de Tratamento Universal (UTC 1).
Congo Nation Sans Drogues é uma organização sem fins lucrativos que se concentra em programas de prevenção e cuidados para pessoas afetadas por drogas na República Democrática do Congo.
Construindo iniciativas da ATI no Quênia
A Dra. Jacqueline Anundo e Jane Ndungu do ISSUP Quênia, fizeram parte de uma reunião conjunta sobre Alternativas ao Encarceramento (ATI) no Quênia. O encontro foi realizado no EKA Hotel - Nairobi, Quênia, com o objetivo de construir iniciativas da ATI no país.
A agenda da reunião incluiu uma discussão sobre as atividades prioritárias da ATI, uma visão geral do mapeamento das práticas da ATI em Mombaça e um mecanismo para coordenar o piloto da ATI no Quênia.
