Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), pronounced as “act”, is a cognitive-behavioural intervention used in treating substance use disorders. It emphasises acceptance of thoughts and feelings, the practice of mindfulness, and commitment to actions aligned with personal values to support behaviour change and recovery.
