Abstract:
Adolescent suicide continues to be an urgent, public health concern. This presentation will discuss selected studies from a research program focused on developing evidence-based strategies for suicide risk screening, suicide risk assessment, and preventive intervention. Findings related to the multi-variable prediction of adolescent suicide attempts, the Computerized Adaptive Screen for Suicidal Youth (CASSY), and the Youth-Nominated Support Team intervention (YST) will be given special emphasis.

The Society of Research on Nicotine and Tobacco (SRNT) 2022 Annual Meeting may be a hybrid (part in person, part virtual) or entirely virtual, depending on how things play out in the coming months.

The event will take place in Edinburgh, Scotland from the 2-5th of March 2022.

Abstract submissions will open on July 7, 2021, and will close on August 11, 2021.

Limited studies examine how traditional American Indian/Alaskan Native and Western healing practices are being combined in treatment for Indigenous clients.

According to the National Survey on Drug Use and Health, cannabis use rates increased in 2020, with almost 50 million individuals 12 or older reporting use of cannabis in the past year. This increase is reflected in the state-specific data for HHS Region 8 in five of the six states (Colorado, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Utah).
