تعقد مفوضية الاتحاد الأفريقي مشاورة قارية سنوية لخفض الطلب على المخدرات منذ عام 2015.  وتمثل كل من الدول الأعضاء في مفوضية الاتحاد الأفريقي جهات الاتصال الوطنية المعنية بنزع السلاح والتسريح وإعادة الإدماج التابعة لها، مما يتيح للدول الأعضاء فرصة لعرض الأنشطة الوطنية لنزع السلاح والتسريح وإعادة الإدماج في منصة لاستعراض الأقران تتيح أيضا المشاركة مع الخبراء المتخصصين المدعوين.  وعقدت مشاورة هذا العام في أروشا. تنزانيا في الفترة من 10 إلى 13 ديسمبر 2024 ، وضمت قادة تقليديين من جنوب إفريقيا. وكان موضوع مشاورة هذا العام هو "الوقاية خير من العلاج: نحو تعزيز الصحة والأمن والرفاهية الاجتماعية...

أجرت اللجنة الدولية لمكافحة المخدرات (CILAD) ومدربان من مجموعتها من المدربين الوطنيين في مجلس أبوظبي الكونغولي: الدكتور بادو روجيه (مفوض مجلس التعاون الخليجي) - الدكتور كواكو إيسوف (ICAP Prevention UPC) أول تدريب وجها لوجه على المسار المدرسي: الوقاية من تعاطي المخدرات في البيئات المدرسية من 29 يوليو إلى 3 أغسطس 2024 (6 أيام).

وكان معظم المشاركين محاضرين وباحثين من جامعة دلوا (على بعد 400 كيلومتر من العاصمة أبيدجان)، بالإضافة إلى معلمين ومنظمات غير حكومية وأخصائيين اجتماعيين ومعلمين في المدارس الثانوية. عقدت الجلسة في المكتبة الإعلامية لجامعة جان لوروجنون غويد. تمت إدارة الاختبارات السابقة...

ISSUP Cote d'Ivoire in collaboration with ICUDDR conducted the second session of the UPC Curriculum training from 23rd to 31st August 2024. The training was held in the town of Daloa within the central west region of Côte d'Ivoire. 

The 24 participants can be see in the photo below wearing polo shirts with the logo of ISSUP in Côte d'Ivoire national branded colours. Whereas the teachers and researchers from the university are wearing polo-shirts with ICUDDR logos. 

The Comité Interministériel de Lutte Anti-Drogue (CILAD)[Interministerial Drug Control Coordinating Committee) and two trainers from its pool of national UPC trainers : Dr Badou Roger (GCCC Commissioner)- Dr KOUAKOU Issouf (ICAP Prevention UPC) conducted the first face-to-face training on the School Track : Prevention of Drug use in School settings from 29 July to 3 August 2024 (6 days).
