The ISSUP Bangladesh Chapter’s 1st Planning Meeting was held on 15 July 2026 at 10:00 a.m. in the Meeting Room, Health & Nutrition Sector, Dhaka Ahsania Mission, Shyamoli, Dhaka. The meeting was organized by Dhaka Ahsania Mission and ISSUP Bangladesh Chapter.
On the occasion of the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking 2026, the Bangladesh Chapter of the International Society of Substance Use Professionals (ISSUP), in collaboration with Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM), organized a colorful youth march and awareness campaign today.
On the occasion of the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, the ISSUP Bangladesh Chapter and Dhaka Ahsania Mission will jointly observe the day through a Youth March and a series of awareness-raising activities. The Youth March will be held on 26 June 2026 from the Star gate of Ramna Park (in front of Matshaw Bhaban Gate) to Osman Gani Sarak to Karjon Hall, Dhaka University road at the morning 08.00 am.
Professor Dr A.Z.M. Zahid Hossain, MP, Minister for Social Welfare and Women and Children Affairs, has called for integrated preventive initiatives to protect young people from the devastating effects of drug use. He stated that drug control efforts should not be limited to law enforcement or fear-based campaigns alone; rather, effective prevention requires evidence-based, integrated and long-term measures.
To observe International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking 2026, “Seminar on Evidence Based Prevention for Youth” will be held on 21 June 2026 at 10:00 am (Bangladesh Time) at the Prof. Dr. M. H. Khan Auditorium, Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology, Tejgaon, Dhaka. The event is organized by Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST) with the support of Dhaka Ahsania Mission and ISSUP Bangladesh Chapter.
A two days long training on Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) will be Organized by
Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) & ISSUP Bangladesh on 03 and 10 July 2026 from 09:00 am to 05:00 pm. The training Facilitator: Mr. Zahir Uddin, Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychology, National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH).
