How Much Does a Professional Interventionist Cost?

Benjamin Zohar, NCACIP - 7 February 2026
Illustration showing how much a professional interventionist costs, featuring a cost estimate clipboard with dollar signs and bar chart, stack of cash with coins, and a family meeting with a counselor helping a distressed woman while two people discuss treatment options in the background.
Professional intervention services typically cost $2,500–$3,500, with higher-complexity cases reaching a maximum of about $7,500, especially when travel or expanded support is needed. In the New York metropolitan area, some interventionists—such as Christopher Veto, NCACIP (co-founder of Intervention NY)—may charge a flat rate around $2,750 for local interventions, with travel outside the metro area increasing cost. Most professional interventions include family coaching, pre-intervention planning meetings, structured family work packets, treatment planning and placement coordination, and in some cases sober escorting to help a loved one enter detox or treatment safely and successfully.
