ISSUP Nigeria are excited to invite you to their Fifth Knowledge Update Series Webinar on the topic of 'Recovery in Substance Use Disorders: The Family as a Resource'.

ISSUP Nigeria Chapter, led by the National President, Dr. Martin O. Agwogie paid courtesy visits to the Federal Ministry of Health and the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA). At the Ministry of Health, the team was received by the Honourable Minister of Health, Dr. Osagie Ehanire and the Minister of State for Health Dr. (Sen.) Adeleke Olorunnimbe Mamora and some Directors in the Ministry. At the NDLEA office, the team was received by the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer, Brig.-Gen.

ISSUP Nigeria Chapter, Kaduna state branch led by Fatima A. Popoola recently paid courtesy visits to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) and the Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital, Kaduna (FNPHK), Kaduna state. The NDLEA State Commander and The Medical Director, FNPHK both pledged collaboration with ISSUP in addressing the issues of drugs and substance abuse in the state. See attached photos on the visits.

ISSUP Nigeria has released its third newspaper! This edition discussed the issue of cannabis criminalization, decriminalization and legalization in Nigeria, Curriculum development for addiction studies in Nigeria and a focus on state coordinators. The publication also includes report on the first ISSUP Nigeria bi-monthly webinar, a list of ongoing activities by members as well as upcoming events, meetings and conferences under the news column. The first session of ISSUP Nigeria's Knowledge Update Series will focus on experience and challenges in delivering drug demand reduction interventions during the COVID-19 pandemic, capacity building on evidence-based substance abuse prevention and treatment interventions, and the way forward.
