Casa Rosetta Association, the host organisation for ISSUP Italy, will be taking part in two important conferences in Italy over the coming months.
The first conference, Form Addictus, will be taking place in Bagheria, Sicily between 8-10 October. It will feature Dr Adele Emmanuela Cutaia, Psychologist and Coordinator of the Pathological Dependencies Unit at Casa Rosetta, who will be chairing a session.
Addictus is an annual event, now in its 7th year, born out of the goal of creating a common language capable of bringing together scientific researchers and professionals working in the field of addictions, while remaining open to civil society. Traditionally, Addictus takes place in Northeastern Italy but ISSUP Italy are pleased to report that this event will be taking place in Sicily, involving using local networks – so we are looking forward to joining the discussion.

The second conference, National Congress SITD 2026, will be taking place in Rome on 19 & 20 October 2026. Again, Dr Adele Emmanuela Cutaia will be attending and presenting at this event.
This conference will focus on pathological addictions, which represent a major public health challenge within a context marked by profound epidemiological, social, and cultural changes. Traditional substance use disorders are now accompanied by new patterns of consumption, novel psychoactive substances, behavioral addictions, and increasing clinical complexity - driven by a high prevalence of psychiatric comorbidities and conditions of individual and social vulnerability. This scenario requires professionals working in addiction services, mental health, community-based care, and the non-profit social sector to constantly update their diagnostic, therapeutic, and organizational skills, ensuring interventions that are appropriate, personalized, and grounded in the latest scientific evidence.
