Mr. Fedotov had a long and distinguished career as a diplomat for his country, the Russian Federation, and as an Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations.
At UNOV/UNODC he executed every duty with care and great dignity, and he was a firm believer in the value of international cooperation, which he championed throughout his work and at major meetings taking forward our multilateral project, from the 13th Crime Congress in Doha and the UN General Assembly Special Session on Drugs to the 8th session of the Conference of the States Parties to the UN Convention against Corruption in Abu Dhabi, where he concluded his tenure at UNOV/UNODC with the commitment and attention to detail for which he was known and respected.
