Advanced Clinical Workshop on Gambling Disorder: Beyond Basic CBT to Be Held in Jakarta

The Addiction Psychiatry Section of the Indonesian Psychiatry Collegium, in collaboration with Yayasan Secercah Harapan Jiwa (YSHJ), is pleased to present an advanced professional workshop titled “Advanced Clinical Management of Gambling Disorder: Beyond Basic CBT.”

As gambling-related problems continue to emerge as a growing public health concern, the need for competent and evidence-based clinical management has become increasingly urgent. Despite the rising prevalence of gambling disorder, many individuals still do not receive adequate assessment and treatment.

This two-day advanced workshop is designed to strengthen the clinical competencies of mental health professionals in addressing gambling disorder beyond foundational cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) approaches.

Participants will gain deeper knowledge and practical skills in:

  • Advanced assessment of gambling disorder

  • Craving management strategies in clinical settings

  • Relapse prevention and long-term recovery planning

  • Integration of advanced CBT interventions

  • The role of family systems in treatment and recovery

  • Other evidence-informed approaches in addiction psychiatry
