The ISSUP Australia National Chapter is hosted by the National Drug Research Institute (NDRI), which was established as a national centre of excellence in alcohol and other drug research in Australia in the mid-1980s. Based at Curtin University in Western Australia, NDRI also has a research office hosted at the Burnet Institute in Melbourne, on Australia’s east coast.
ISSUP Australia will be led by NDRI Director Professor Paul Griffiths, who will be supported by NDRI Research Fellow Dr Samantha Colledge-Frisby in the role of Chapter Coordinator and the Institute’s Business Support Team, which includes Administration and Communications expertise.
We intend to collaborate closely with other research centres and service providers in Australia as well as other ISSUP chapters across the Asia-Pacific region, particularly with our geographically closest chapter in New Zealand, to achieve common goals and strengthen the impact and value of the ISSUP Australia chapter.
