On 28 October, ISSUP Panama will participate in a symposium on the prevention of corruption, crime and other social problems, organised by the Confederación Unidos por un Panamá Seguro (CUPPASE). The event will create a space for reflection, citizen participation and community engagement around the challenges posed by corruption, crime and social problems affecting Panama.
As part of the programme, the Director of ISSUP Panama will deliver a presentation introducing ISSUP and its work to support the substance use, supply control and related workforces. Her participation will provide an opportunity to raise awareness of the National Chapter and connect with people and organisations interested in prevention and community well-being.
The symposium will encourage participants to reflect on how citizens, communities and organisations can contribute to addressing these challenges. By bringing different perspectives into the conversation, it will offer an opportunity to explore shared responsibilities and strengthen dialogue across sectors.
ISSUP Panama’s involvement will bring substance use prevention into this broader discussion on community safety and social well-being, opening opportunities for collaboration and greater engagement in prevention efforts.
