Dr. José Luis Vázquez Martínez is a Mexican physician who graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). He specializes in addiction treatment and holds a master's degree in comprehensive drug use prevention from Universidad Veracruzana.
Throughout his career, he has been a member of the Directorate of Mental Health and Addictions of the Government of Mexico City, served as Head of the Department of Health Promotion and Addiction Prevention at the Institute for Social Security and Services for State Workers (ISSSTE), and served as Deputy Director at the National Commission Against Addictions (CONADIC).
For the past 14 years, Dr. Vázquez Martínez has collaborated as a specialist with the Drug Demand Reduction Unit of the Inter-American Drug Abuse Control Commission (CICAD). He has contributed to numerous specialized publications and teaches and facilitates online and in-person academic and professional training programs.
